Finishing

Finishing Well
Never too early,
Never too late
As of this year, 2026, Singapore has become a super-aged society, with more than one in five of the population aged 65 and older.1
Not only do some seniors report feeling lonely2, many also cite poor health, cognitive decline, and being a burden to others as their greatest fears about growing old.3
While we may have government policies in place to help seniors remain healthy and ensure they have enough for retirement, one question remains:
How can seniors live out God’s purposes so that they can age gracefully and finish their earthly journey well?

And, what can we do to show God’s love to seniors in the community, so that they too need not feel adrift in figuring out how to finish well in life?
After all, this desire to finish our earthly journey well resonates deeply with many. Yet, we may know of loved ones and friends who feel uncertain navigating this on their own.

In every season of life, let’s “run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:1–2). With God’s grace, we can enable more to say, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)
