When My Master Beckons Me
The awesome grandeur of God comes in a quiet voice; I hear Him in the mornings As He stirs my soul to rejoice.
He tells me He is near and Will never leave nor forsake; My heart strengthens and New courage then awakes.
The world but swirls with Worries and cares aplenty; It is waiting to plague me With turmoil in guarantee.
So my Master beckons me To drink deeply from Him; He knows my thoughts falter Amidst life's unkind regime.
His promises are a balm to The strains of mundane trials; He gently whispers His love And assures me all the while.
The words He sends unfold Like many gallant love letters; The power and presence of His grace breaks all shackles.
How sacred is time spent Sitting at the feet of our Lord; A strong tower of refuge Which the Almighty accords!
“You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.”—Psalm 63:1
